Purex Fleet Investment: Strengthening LEV Service, Response Times and Growth

When your business relies on local exhaust ventilation, delays impact compliance, safety, and productivity, and are just all-around inconvenient.

That is why service reliability matters just as much as the systems themselves. At Purex, we have recently made a £150,000 investment into our vehicle fleet, not simply to upgrade how we look on the road, but to fundamentally improve how we deliver LEV testingservicing, and installation across the UK.

This investment is part of a wider commitment to faster response times, reduced disruption, and supporting the growing demand for clean air systems in regulated industries.

Why this investment was needed

As demand for local exhaust ventilation systems continues to grow, so does the expectation for faster response times, consistent service quality, and minimal disruption to operations.

At the same time, an ageing vehicle fleet was beginning to create challenges. Increased maintenance costs, higher fuel consumption, and the risk of breakdowns all have a direct impact on service delivery.

Rather than allowing these issues to affect customers, the decision was made to invest ahead of the problem to ensure we remain proactive, not reactive, in how we support businesses operating in regulated environments where air quality and compliance cannot be compromised.

What the new fleet means for customers

This investment goes far beyond replacing vehicles. It directly improves the experience for customers relying on Purex for critical clean air systems.

With a modernised fleet now in place, LEV engineers can reach sites faster and more reliably. Reduced reliance on hire vehicles means fewer logistical delays, while improved vehicle efficiency helps keep operations running smoothly.

For customers, this translates into quicker response times, fewer cancellations, and a more dependable service overall. In industries where downtime can be costly, that level of consistency matters.

Supporting a growing team

The fleet expansion also reflects the growth of the Purex team.

Over the past year, the service division has welcomed three new engineers and a coordinator. This increase in resources is not just about scaling up; it is about strengthening the level of support available to customers across the UK.

By combining a larger, well-equipped team with improved infrastructure, Purex is better positioned to handle increased demand without compromising on quality.

Strengthening our LEV offering

Local exhaust ventilation continues to be a key growth area, driven by tighter regulations and greater awareness around workplace air quality.

Our investment allows us to continue delivering industry-leading LEV testingservicing, and installation services while staying ahead of legislative changes. It also reinforces the company’s commitment to helping businesses maintain safe, compliant environments where clean air is not optional.

It also ensures that as demand increases, service standards are constantly improving.

A visible commitment to quality and compliance

Our new fleet also introduces updated Purex branding on the road, making our presence across the UK more visible than ever.

While this is a proud brand moment, it also serves a practical purpose. It reflects our investment in the business infrastructure, our people, and our ability to deliver. In sectors where compliance, reliability, and expertise are essential, these signals matter.

Continuing to invest in clean air

This latest investment is not a one-off decision. It forms part of a wider strategy to maintain an industry-leading service, improve response times, and ensure Purex remains at the forefront of clean air system delivery.

As regulations evolve and demand for LEV solutions increases, continuing to invest in both fleet and technical capability will remain a priority.

As the Commercial Director at Purex, Luke Fenton, explains:

“It has been fantastic to see the new fleet of vehicles on the road, proudly showcasing the new Purex branding, following the latest regulatory enhancements for commissioning systems in the UK. The LEV industry continues to be a key growth area for Purex, and one in which we have invested and will continue to invest significantly.

“The expansion of the team, alongside the enhancement of both our fleet and technical capabilities, clearly demonstrates our ongoing commitment to serving our UK customers. This strengthened offering is already delivering tangible results.

“Customer feedback has been incredibly positive, and our installation team has secured the largest installation contract in the company’s history.”

LEV testing, servicing and installation you can rely on

For businesses that rely on effective local exhaust ventilation, having a partner that invests in both people and infrastructure makes all the difference.

We continue to support organisations across the UK and globally with reliable LEV testing, responsive servicing, and expert installation of clean air systems designed to meet evolving compliance standards.
