What is fume extraction?

Fume extraction is the process in which an extractor collects and filtrates hazardous particles from the air – this works by fume extractors vacuuming contaminated air into a filtration system, which then disposes of these toxic fumes in a safe environment. Fume extraction systems come in various shapes and sizes, and are each suited for different industries.

iFume Series

Our innovative iFume systems are fully automatic – all you have to do is set up the appropriate airflow on installation. The iFume range comes with a dedicated control, monitoring and display system, that is not only easy to use, but your company can also benefit from the low running costs.

There are many iFume systems which have been adapted for different industries – for example, the iFume 400i violet is suited for the coating and dispensing industry. Whereas, the iFume 400i Green, was specially made for environments with laser engraving.

Digital – 900 Series

Similar to the iFume systems, all functions on our Digital series are fully automatic and you won’t have to adjust your fume extractor after installation.

Our monitoring and display systems are unique to Purex fume extractors, some of the key features of our Digital 900 Series include:

  • Submicronic (HEPA) filtration removes 99.997% of particles down to 0.3 microns
  • Activated carbon filtration removes harmful gas
  • Simple to install and quiet in operation
  • Easy to relocate

Analogue Series

Our Analogue units are built with quality in mind, so these units are a great economic alternative to our more advanced systems. Though there are fewer digital displays, all our units come equipped with visual and audio filter block warnings which helps to prevent company downtime.

  • Automatic electronic flow control – maintains a constant extraction rate even as the filter blocks
